    Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

    The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

     The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in First  Aid Essentials (RFQ) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide basic first aid to people they are caring for.

     The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillator (RFQ) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in basic life support (BLS) and using a defibrillator (AED) in emergency situations.

    About Us

    Why did we choose the name Altius?

    Altius is a Latin word that means "higher". It is part of the Olympic motto: "Citius, Altius, Fortius", which translates to "Faster, Higher, Stronger". This motto was proposed by Pierre de Coubertin in 1894 and has been official since 1924. It reflects the aspirations of the Olympic movement not only in athletic and technical terms but also from a moral and educational perspective. So when you hear "Altius," think of striving for excellence, reaching new heights, and the relentless pursuit of aspiration.                                                                                                                 

    Our History

    Established in 2025, Altius Training and Assessment Services began as a dedicated training provider in the heart of Cardigan, West Wales. With strong connections across the North West of England, we’re proud to be expanding our reach—now delivering high-quality training in Burnley and beyond.


    As an approved centre with Qualsafe Awards—one of the UK’s leading Ofqual-recognised awarding organisations—we are committed to delivering first aid training courses that are practical, engaging, and built on real-world experience.

    At Altius Training and Assessment Services, our trainers bring more than just qualifications—they bring decades of frontline experience responding to real-life emergencies across the UK. From high-pressure incidents to everyday first aid scenarios, we’ve lived the realities that others only simulate.

    With over 20 years in public service and more than 6 years delivering accredited first aid training, our lead instructor understands what works when seconds count. That depth of experience shapes every course we deliver—making our training practical, realistic, and rooted in the kind of calm, confident decision-making that saves lives.
