    Course Duration: 1 day

Pre-course preparation for our First Aid Course includes 4 hours of pre-course reading. All First Aid handbooks, which cover essential First Aid essentials, will be provided prior to the First Aid training.

    Overview:

The First Aid Course incorporates a range of activities, including written tasks, reading exercises, and physical activities, which are integral to understanding First Aid Essentials. These components are designed to facilitate comprehensive learning and engagement throughout the First Aid Training.

Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of the training and be able to perform practical tasks at floor level.

    Attendance:

Attendance at the First Aid Course is required along with the completion of all written and practical assessments to ensure you grasp the First Aid Essentials. If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms like a cold, flu, stomach upset, or COVID-19, please refrain from attending the First Aid Training.

    Clothing and Footwear:

In line with the First Aid Course Information, learners are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the practical nature of the First Aid Training. It is recommended to wear trousers and flat shoes for better stability and movement while engaging in First Aid Essentials. For safety reasons, open-toe sandals and similar shoes are not permitted. Additionally, as the room will be well ventilated, please bring warm clothing to ensure comfort throughout the day.

For the course, you will need:

Please bring a photographic ID on the first day of the First Aid Course for registration purposes. Additionally, make sure to have a black pen and a note pad for taking notes during the First Aid Training. It’s also a good idea to bring your own refreshments for the day (please ensure that drinks vessels have a screw top lid) as part of your First Aid Essentials.

    Method of Assessment:

The First Aid Course Information includes 4 mandatory practical assessments and 1 optional practical assessment, along with a theory assessment in the form of a multiple-choice question paper. These components are essential for mastering First Aid Essentials and ensuring comprehensive First Aid Training.

Please contact us before the course begins so we can confidentially discuss your requirements and ensure you receive the proper support throughout your First Aid Training and learning experience, including the First Aid Essentials.

    Requalification Requirements:

This First Aid Course information is valid for 3 years. To remain qualified in First Aid essentials, the learner needs to retake the First Aid training before the certificate expiry date.

For comprehensive First Aid Course Information, we suggest the recommended annual training or refresher qualification: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support and Automated External Defibrillation (RFQ).
